I hope you will join me in Receiving and Giving God’s Best during the month of December.

You can order a copy now by clicking on the image of the book cover and maybe you’d like to get another copy for a friend.

Coming Soon!!

I have received my author’s copy of my new book…

Not announcing the title yet because there are a few minor edits to make but

it’s coming soon!!

Here’s the synopsis as a bit of a teaser.

“Every year it becomes increasingly difficult to pick the perfect gift for those on our list and each year, gifts are set aside and forgotten within weeks of Christmas Day. Wouldn’t it be great to have a list of gifts that would bring joy all year and not break the bank? In this book, The Best Gifts of Christmas, Kristi Wilson presents the reader with a new gift for each day of December. These gifts are personalized yet universal enough to be shared with everyone. After all, “Behold I bring you tidings of great joy which shall be to all people”, was the message delivered by the angel on that first Christmas. The devotional thoughts found in this book can be used by families to help them focus on the real reason for Christmas or by individuals in their personal quiet time. The Bible is a book of giving; each day will present another gift from its pages. Topics include joy, peace, kindness, tradition, light and the greatest gift of all, the presence of Jesus Christ.”

Hope you will get a copy to use as your daily devotional during December and maybe one or two more to give as gifts.

Thank you for your wonderful prayer support during this endeavor.

FYI Small & Cottage Business Owners

A little while  back I asked  you if you were a small business owner or have a cottage business to please tell me about your business.

This weekend I was able to add a new page to the website called Small Business Market Place.

Please take time to view this page and if you have a need for these products reach out to the owners and let them know you found them on my blog.

It’s important to me to provide you with the products and services of small businesses that are run with integrity.

Are You A Business Owner?

I have a number of friends who are business owners and I want to provide a directory for you on this blog.

If you produce a product or provide a service that you would like me to make available to the ArizonaKristi blog readers please send me your business info for the new page I will be creating.

I figured with Christmas coming up you might like to have some homemade/handmade products to add to your shopping list.

I have found that jpg images work the best in listings. Send me your website address and other contact info and I’ll get posted for you.

Prayer Alert

Let’s be in prayer for those on the East Coast who are in the storm path. Jesus spoke to a fierce storm and at His word the wind stopped and the waves calmed.

“Father in the name of Jesus, I pray for all who are in the path of Florence. I pray that the storm weakens before it makes land fall and that lives and property are protected. I pray for safety of all living there. The first responders need wisdom and protection as they provide aide to those in need. I thank you Father for giving them that. I ask for protection over property and livestock.

You know better than we do what is needed most and I thank you for providing it. As people evacuate give them safety on the roads and in their travels.  We commit all this to you in Jesus name.” Amen.

The Simple Life

This week I had the opportunity to visit with a 91 year-old lady. She talked of growing up in AZ.

She told me what it was like to live in a home with no air conditioner or electric appliances. Her father owned a drive-in with car hops that brought food to your car. He made his own ice cream.

She worked there when she was in middle school to earn spending money. She started by cleaning and she was thrilled when she was old enough to become a car hop.

She talked about living through the depression and seeing her brother go off to war.

Beverly is her name. Over and over she mentioned that even though times were tougher with less conveniences, life was simpler and folks seemed to be more appreciative and less demanding.

The simple life – the kinder life. Isn’t that what we want for our children and grandchildren. I know I want them to be raised with godly morals and principles. I want them to have wholesome entertainment choices.

One of the companies that I have chosen to be associated with on my blog is PureFlix. They provide Family and Faith based entertainment for their subscribers.  It works like other streaming subscription entertainment venues.

Follow the link below to sign up for a free trial period and then if you like what that offer you can convert the free trial to a monthly or annual term.

I hope you like it. I’ll be interested to hear your comments.

News to Report

Over the last few days I have been working with Tom, my friend and blog administrator, to update the blog site by becoming an affiliate with a few companies whose products will be of interest to those reading it.

For instance, at Christmas time I talked about a couple books that I really enjoyed reading to my kids and now my grandkids. Those were The Selfish Giant, A Tale of Three Trees and The Legend of the Candy Cane.

I also wrote about “mustard seed” faith and I have found a pendant on Amazon that has a mustard seed charm. There is also a really cute mug on DaySpring.

I have become an affiliate with both DaySpring and Amazon. When I mention of something like this in the morning blog you will recognize it because those items will be underlined indicating they are an active link.

Shop Christian gifts, cards, decor, and more!

If you’re interested in having these books and items as your own you can simply click on the link and be taken directly to the appropriate site.

Please understand that it is not my intention to use my blog as a marketing platform. I just want to make you aware of where you can purchase the items I might mention. I have no desire to commercialize the Gospel.

You will notice that we have placed a DaySpring logo on the blog page for your convenience if you would like to see what types of items they carry.

A New Page

Coffee and cinnamon rolls are basics in our home – ask my kids! But more important is the morning quiet time that I share with all of you.

There is a new addition to the blog. I have added a page of “I Like These”. Here you will find links to several blogs/pages on-line that I like.

There is link to Fischer Publishing.  Our friend Rob is an accomplished author and has over 20 books in print. He now helps new authors traverse the waters of writing and self-publishing. This month he is spear heading a writers conference, the details are available on his page.  He and his wife Linda live in Spokane, WA.

Another link will take you to Aunt Ruthie’s Sugar Pie Farmhouse. Aunt Ruthie is  a long time friend from our days in Encinitas/Carlsbad, CA. I first met RuthAnn when she started producing  activity jars to tell Moms and kids develop quality time of sharing their thoughts. These were called Mom’s Canned Questions.  She and her husband live in Branson and through her blog Aunt Ruthie offers recipes, decorating ideas and encouragement for women to become the wives and mothers that God has planned for them to be.

Amy Hale is a new acquaintance who loves teaching women to study God’s word. Amy has a blog that offers practical ideas for developing a consistent and lasting personal BIble Study. She has great insights and has resources that make Bible Study easy and fun.

And finally, my favorite on-line Bible source is Bible Gateway. This site offers over 20 versions of the Bible. If the King James version seems too archaic and you desire to read something more contemporary this is the resource for you. If you desire a translation that will give you more in the way of Jewish background or an amplified exposition of a verse you will also find that on this site too.  Plain and simple, find a version or translation that you can relate too and let the Holy Spirit make the Bible come alive to you.

Thank you for trusting me to share God’s word with you each morning. It is such a pleasure to know you have invited me into your homes. I love God’s word. The impact on my life has been nothing short of miraculous, life-changing. I hope that you are encouraged in your walk with the Lord no matter where you are on that path.

If you haven’t signed up to receive the daily blog via email you can do that now. If you have, thank you. I will ask again that if you have found what I share each morning to be helpful, please share it with your friends and family, Bible study groups, Sunday School classes and co-workers.

God bless you all.
