What Are You? Who Are You?

I hope you don’t mind if I share a personal experience I had over thirty years ago. It is still fresh in my memory. I can see each face that was in the room and I wonder if they remember this conversation that we had.

I have shared this before on Facebook but I hope you won’t mind me sharing it here with you.

A long time ago I was asked by some students who worked for me “Are you one of those born again ‘Christians’?” I could tell by the question that this was an opening from the Lord and I could also tell that I wasn’t what they were asking.

Let’s read this morning’s verses and then I come back and give you my answer to their question.

“Friends, when I came and told you the mystery that God had shared with us, I didn’t use big words or try to sound wise. 2 In fact, while I was with you, I made up my mind to speak only about Jesus Christ, who had been nailed to a cross.

3 At first, I was weak and trembling with fear. 4 When I talked with you or preached, I didn’t try to prove anything by sounding wise. I simply let God’s Spirit show his power. 5 That way you would have faith because of God’s power and not because of human wisdom.” I Corinthians 2:1-5 CEV

So I asked the student posing the question what he meant by Christian. He said that his aunt and uncle were always telling him you can’t do this and you got to do that and if you don’t you’re going to hell. And they are “Christians” so am I one of those?

I took a deep breath and answered “No, I’m not a Christian like that but let me tell you what I am”. My office area was filled with students because it was midday and they always came to hang out in my office. They all got quiet and gave me their attention.

“I am a Christian because Christian means one who is like Christ. I am born again because that means I have been given new life by Jesus. He has forgiven my sins and made me new.

I am a fanatic because I trust the Lord with everything I do each and every day. I pray over my grocery list. I pray for my kids to be healed and my husband to be safe at work. I pray for you (calling a student by name) to pass your Algebra test and for another student to find something valuable that she had lost.

I believe that God wants to be involved in every part of my life and I also know that He can handle it so much better than I can do on my own.

I don’t live by a long list of do’s and don’ts. I live by relationship with a Heavenly Father who loves and wants the best for me and I want to do nothing that would displease Him. And when I do fail, because I do, I go to Him and find His forgiveness. His love isn’t based on my goodness – it’s unconditional!

So I guess to answer your question, yes, I am a born again Christian. I’m a fanatic who believes that God wants to show me his love and his power and I pray that each one of you will want a relationship like that too.”

That day the Lord opened the door for me to talk with and pray for many of the students in that room. I thank Him that my life wasn’t filled with religious words and condescending looks but with real life relationship. And from that day forward I have tried to live and teach Jesus in a practical way that cowboys, farmers, ranchers, students and just plain folks could understand.

So today I encourage you to live a life that draws questions. And the answer to questions should always be Jesus and His amazing love!

Reflection of Love

When I got up this morning, I went outside and looked up. There were feathery clouds filling the sky, a full moon and millions of stars peaking through.

“My Father made those just for me”, I said. I know He made them for you too but I was so taken back by the fact that He knows every star and placed them in just the right orbit and He also knows the number of hairs on my head.

He knows us and He loves us and He calls us by name! That’s a pretty wonderful way to start the day.

“But now the Lord Who made you, O Jacob, and He Who made you, O Israel, says, “Do not be afraid. For I have bought you and made you free. I have called you by name. You are Mine! 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you. When you pass through the rivers, they will not flow over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned. The fire will not destroy you. 3 For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, Who saves you. I have given Egypt as pay for your life, and have traded Cush and Seba for you. ” Isaiah 43:1-3 NLV

When I asked the Lord what to share this morning and it came flooding in like the light from the full moon.
“I love you, I love you, I love you. I love you, I love you, I love you. I love you, I love you, I love you”.

“Where God’s love is, there is no fear, because God’s perfect love takes away fear. It is his punishment that makes a person fear. So his love is not made perfect in the one who has fear. 19 We love because God first loved us.” I John 4:18-19 ERV

Suffice it to say, God loves us; He loves you! Just as the moon is a reflection of light from the sun our lives should be a reflection of the love that we receive from the Son.

God’s opinion of us is so much greater than our opinion of ourselves. He saw that we were valuable, priceless and worth the ultimate sacrifice. He loved us enough to send His Son to die for us so that we could live in Him!

Now that alone should drive out any feelings of low self-esteem, worthlessness or fear!

“Brothers and sisters, God chose you to be his. Think about that! Not many of you were wise in the way the world judges wisdom. Not many of you had great influence, and not many of you came from important families. 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. He chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 And God chose what the world thinks is not important—what the world hates and thinks is nothing. He chose these to destroy what the world thinks is important. 29 God did this so that no one can stand before him and boast about anything. 30 It is God who has made you part of Christ Jesus. And Christ has become for us wisdom from God. He is the reason we are right with God and pure enough to be in his presence. Christ is the one who set us free from sin. 31 So, as the Scriptures say, “Whoever boasts should boast only about the Lord.” I Corinthians 1:26-31 ERV

This isn’t just how God feels about us but it’s the way He feels about those that we don’t think are too valuable. His love for all of us is the same and so we need to reflect that when we are dealing with others. We need to give them the same value that our Father does.

As our hearts fill with the realization of how precious God feels we are we can’t help but show more love to others. I read once that the moon only reflects 3-12% of the sunlight that hits it.

Wouldn’t it be a great world if we reflected 12% of God’s amazing love?

Construction Zone

I’ve heard it said that hope is our blueprint and faith is our building materials. We need both, working together to achieve a desired result.

“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” Hebrews 11:1 NLT

As I was thinking about that this morning my mind came up with several examples of hope and faith working together. The first example comes from God, Himself. He had a blueprint, a hope, for the world He was to create and by faith He spoke out the words and the world was framed. Light be and light was.

“By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.” Hebrews 11:3 NLT

Then there was Noah – God gave him the blue print for the Ark and Noah brought the materials together and made it just as the Lord told him. Moses did the same thing with the tabernacle in the desert. Solomon built the Temple according to the plans that the Lord had given his father, King David.

Peter built the church, the body of believers according to God’s blueprint. Jesus said “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel”, that was the blueprint for world evangelism. Then he told the disciples to go to Jerusalem and “Wait for the power of the Holy Spirit”, that was building material. As soon as Peter received the proper material (the Holy Spirit) he went out and started building, preaching. And that first day 3000 people gave their lives to the Lord, that’s a good first day of construction no matter what project you’re working on.

“On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. 2 Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. 3 Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. 4 And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability…Peter’s words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?”

38 Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 This promise is to you, to your children, and to those far away—all who have been called by the Lord our God.” 40 Then Peter continued preaching for a long time, strongly urging all his listeners, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation!” 41 Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all.” Acts 2:1-4, 37-41 NLT

From there on out God gave His word, the blueprint for our lives, to those who wrote the Bible and He also gave us the building material we need, the Holy Spirit.

What is it you need to build? It is peace, joy, strength, forgiveness, healing, victory, understanding, etc. Find the blueprint for it in God’s word and then let the power of the Holy Spirit construct what God has promised.

“He gives us everything we need for life and for holy living. He gives it through His great power. As we come to know Him better, we learn that He called us to share His own shining-greatness and perfect life. 4 Through His shining-greatness and perfect life, He has given us promises. These promises are of great worth and no amount of money can buy them. Through these promises you can have God’s own life in you now that you have gotten away from the sinful things of the world which came from wrong desires of the flesh.” II Peter 1:3-4 NLV

God’s plan or blueprint is ALWAYS good! I am determined to let God design and build my life according to His plan.

“Come to Jesus Christ. He is the living stone that people have rejected, but which God has chosen and highly honored. 5 And now you are living stones that are being used to build a spiritual house. You are also a group of holy priests, and with the help of Jesus Christ you will offer sacrifices that please God.” I Peter 2:4-5 CEV

The Heart of the Matter

This morning, like most mornings, I am just so grateful to be able to praise the Lord and trust in His goodness. He has always been and always will be. His desire is to shower us with His love.

“Hope never makes us ashamed because the love of God has come into our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who was given to us.

6 We were weak and could not help ourselves. Then Christ came at the right time and gave His life for all sinners. 7 No one is willing to die for another person, but for a good man someone might be willing to die. 8 But God showed His love to us. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:5-8 NLV

Yesterday I spent quite a bit of time listening to good old gospel music and hymns of faith. These were songs I grew up singing in church. It had been years since I sang some of them but the words came flooding back through my mind. It’s amazing what is stored in there and when the heart does its own “search” the screen of our memory bank populates faster than the most powerful computer.

God has programmed our hearts to recognize truth, the truth of His love, and it takes precedence over all else. We spend a lot of our time searching for things to satisfy us in life but there’s really only One that can, his name is Jesus!

This is one of the songs that touched me the most. It was written in 1895 by William Newell, At Calvary. I hope you will take time to click on the link and listen to the words as they are sung.

Years I spent in vanity and pride,
Caring not my Lord was crucified,
Knowing not it was for me He died
On Calvary.

Refrain:
Mercy there was great, and grace was free;
Pardon there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found liberty
At Calvary.

By God’s Word at last my sin I learned;
Then I trembled at the law I’d spurned,
Till my guilty soul imploring turned
To Calvary.

Oh, the love that drew salvation’s plan!

Without Calvary my life would be hopeless and without meaning. Because of Calvary I have joy, peace and forgiveness. Look for the wonder of the Lord in your life today, start by looking At Calvary! It’s the Heart of the Matter.

Sweet Peace

Believe it or not there are times when I get up in the morning that I really just want to go back to bed and get a little more rest. It’s true. This morning was one of those. I found myself sitting in my rocker, resting my head on hands, closing my eyes and seeking just a few more moments of peaceful sleep.

I found myself apologizing to the Lord. I had cut my prayer time short however, my heart was still in a place of talking to the Father but it was sleepy talk. I just kept repeating over and over, “Father I love you and I am so glad to be in Your presence”.

“The God Who lives forever is your safe place. His arms are always under you.” Deuteronomy 33:27 NLT

I felt cradled in His arms and there was such peace in those moments. And as I was taking rest in those moments I suddenly felt energized, ready for the day. Joy was filling my heart and giving me strength to replace the weariness.

“You have shown me the path to life, and you make me glad by being near to me. Sitting at your right side, I will always be joyful.” Psalm 16:11 CEV

I remember when our son was small, I had left him in the kitchen to finish his lunch while I went to the other room to do something. When I came back his head was on the table and he was sound asleep. That’s how I felt this morning.

“‘For I have given rest to the weary and joy to the sorrowing.’ 26 At this, I woke up and looked around. My sleep had been very sweet.” Jeremiah 31:25-26 NLT

Maybe your Monday is starting a little slower than usual. Maybe you are like me, wishing for a few more moments to rest. Stop now, for just a moment, and let God give you strength and joy for your day.

“Don’t you know?  Haven’t you heard? The Lord is the eternal God,  Creator of the earth. He never gets weary or tired; his wisdom cannot be measured. 29 The Lord gives strength to those who are weary. 30 Even young people get tired,  then stumble and fall.
31 But those who trust the Lord will find new strength. They will be strong like eagles  soaring upward on wings; they will walk and run without getting tired.” Isaiah 40:28-31 CEV

How Do We Stop?

I have no idea if children learn songs that are rounds anymore but this morning I had one come to mind and haven’t been able to stop the lyrics. The question is where do you stop when you are singing a “round”?

Some of you who are younger may not even know what a round is. It’s a song like Row, Row, Row Your Boat or Are You Sleeping Brother John. One person or group starts the song and when the finish the first phrase the next group or person starts in at the beginning and then a third and fourth group join in at just the right time. If you don’t have a chorus leader you generally agree to sing through the song three or four times and then stop. But really, there is no stopping point for a round; thus it is aptly named.

The last two weeks I have been reading through the book of Revelation and I have found that there is always singing in heaven. The songs of praise never stop!

“Each of the four living creatures had six wings, and their bodies were covered with eyes. Day and night they never stopped singing,

‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord, the all-powerful God, who was and is and is coming!’

9 The living creatures kept praising, honoring, and thanking the one who sits on the throne and who lives forever and ever. 10 At the same time the twenty-four elders knelt down before the one sitting on the throne. And as they worshiped the one who lives forever, they placed their crowns in front of the throne and said,

11 ‘Our Lord and God,  you are worthy to receive glory, honor, and power. You created all things, and by your decision they are and were created.'” Revelation 4:8-11 CEV

Did you notice – day and night they never stopped singing! Heaven is filled with constant praise to God, the Father, for who He is and what He has done! Words cannot adequately convey our gratitude for God’s greatness.

Peter was writing to encourage Christians when he penned these words:

“And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see.

6 So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. 7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

8 You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. 9 The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.” I Peter 1:5-9 NLT

We have trials while we are here on earth; we are faced daily with opportunities to worry, fear, and act in an unloving way. When we resist giving in to these temptations we achieve small victories and we see the impurities of self-centeredness being removed. Our motives are being purified. We are becoming more Christ-like.

So, here’s the round that was going through my mind this morning. It comes from these verses. It is the chorus of a song that was written by Barney Warren in 1900, Joy Unspeakable.

“It is joy unspeakable and full of glory, Full of glory, full of glory;
It is joy unspeakable and full of glory, Oh, the half has never yet been told.”

As I said, the thing with a round is knowing when to stop it. The words of this chorus have been echoing in my heart for over an hour now. I hope these words stick with you today. There’s nothing better than focusing on the Father and His love for us.

Sealed

A few days ago I visited my neighbor and she couldn’t wait to show me the kitchen table they had built. She told me how just the day before they had put on the third coat of sealer. Now it was fully protected and she didn’t have to be concerned about water rings or food stains getting through and spoiling the surface of the wood.

It was sealed!

That’s an interesting word – sealed. There are so many different pictures that come to mind. A letter can be sealed to keep it’s contents private. If you have a tent you will certainly want to make sure the seams are sealed so the rain water doesn’t get in. Concrete floors and counter tops are sealed just like the wood of my neighbors table. Food packages are sealed. Medicine is sealed. Sweaters are sealed in bags.

The sealing serves a purpose – protection. Protection from destruction or contamination. It also denotes importance.

When treaties were struck or laws were written the king’s seal was placed on the document to verify that it had come from his hand. The most trusted advisor was the one in the king’s court who had access to the king’s ring and his seal.

“The decree was written in the name of King Xerxes and sealed with the king’s signet ring. Mordecai sent the dispatches by swift messengers, who rode fast horses especially bred for the king’s service.” Esther 8:10 NLT

Kings continued to use seals up to the 1800’s. And then nations developed seals, we have the great seal of the United States.

But there is another kind of seal, it’s the seal that God the Father puts on us, his children; it’s a seal of protection and a seal of importance.

“Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, 22 who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.” II Corinthians 1:21-22 NKJV

or in more modern language: “God is the One Who makes our faith and your faith strong in Christ. He has set us apart for Himself. 22 He has put His mark on us to show we belong to Him. His Spirit is in our hearts to prove this.” II Corinthians 1:21-22 NLT

The seal that God has put on our lives shows that we belong to Him, the Holy Spirit living in us proves that.

“It is the same with you. You heard the true message, the Good News about the way God saves you. When you heard that Good News, you believed in Christ. And in Christ, God put his special mark (seal) on you by giving you the Holy Spirit that he promised. 14 The Spirit is the first payment that guarantees we will get all that God has for us. Then we will enjoy complete freedom as people who belong to him. The goal for all of us is the praise of God in all his glory.” Ephesians 1:13-14 ERV

Jesus said that the reason Holy Spirit came was to be our comforter, our helper, our teacher. He is the seal that shows we are valuable to God and He brings the Father’s goodness and blessings to our lives.

“Do not make God’s Holy Spirit have sorrow for the way you live. The Holy Spirit has put a mark on you for the day you will be set free. 31 Put out of your life all these things: bad feelings about other people, anger, temper, loud talk, bad talk which hurts other people, and bad feelings which hurt other people. 32 You must be kind to each other. Think of the other person. Forgive other people just as God forgave you because of Christ’s death on the cross.” Ephesians 4:30-32 NLV

When I read this verse I am reminded of my friend’s table. The wood has been sanded, several times, removing the elements that made it ugly and rough. The surface was smoothed and cleaned showing the beauty that was beneath the surface. Then it was SEALED to protect the beauty and the quality of the wood.

We are to remove those things that make our lives ugly. Then we let Holy Spirit “seal” us for our protection and preservation. Our beauty will shine through, it’s the beauty of a life filled with Christ.

There will be times when our surface gets dusty and dirty by the things we say and do. We will need to be cleansed by repentance but we are sealed by the Spirit of God and our beauty will remain protected. We are God’s workmanship, He created us for good things.

“God has made us what we are. In Christ Jesus, God made us new people so that we would spend our lives doing the good things he had already planned for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10 ERV

Good Morning Lord!

Getting up this morning did you give thanks to the Lord or did you complain about what your day has in store? My day started with waking to the sound of a gentle rain. Nice!

Are you able to drive to work instead of walk? Praise the Lord! If you have no car are you able to walk? Praise the Lord! Do you have a job to go to? Praise the Lord.

Do you have people in your life that are abrasive and aggravating? Or folks who are loving, kind and fun to be around? Then Praise the Lord! The aggravating help you appreciate the loving.

Were you able to have a hot cup of coffee and even some breakfast? Praise the Lord.
Ok, so do you see where I’m going with this – there is always something to Praise the Lord for.

“Thank the LORD for his faithful love and for the amazing things he does for people.
9 He satisfies those who are thirsty. He fills those who are hungry with good things.” Psalm 107:7-8

What is it in your life that you consider good? Health, friends, family, career, cash in your pocket, a nice car, your boat, a new home, a well-trained horse, a shot gun, the right to bear arms – what?

If it’s good, it’s a gift from God so make sure you thank Him today and that you look at all you have to be thankful for instead of wasting precious time being resentful for something “more” you think you should have.

“Everything good comes from God. Every perfect gift is from him. These good gifts come down from the Father who made all the lights in the sky. But God never changes like the shadows from those lights. He is always the same. 18 God decided to give us life through the true message he sent to us. He wanted us to be the most important of all that he created.” James 1:17-18

Let praise be the start and the end of your conversations today.

Why?

This is the question I was asking myself this morning. Why?

Why do I write this blog each morning? Why do I get up as early as I do? Why?

The answer was clear. Because there is no other way I would rather start my day than having a quiet cup of coffee with the Lord. It brings my day into focus, gives me direction and perspective, the Word gives me wisdom and fills my heart with strength.

“Let the teaching of Christ and His words keep on living in you. These make your lives rich and full of wisdom. Keep on teaching and helping each other. Sing the Songs of David and the church songs and the songs of heaven with hearts full of thanks to God. 17 Whatever you say or do, do it in the name of the Lord Jesus. Give thanks to God the Father through the Lord Jesus.” Colossians 3:16-18 NLV

Years ago I realized that the thing I was most passionate about, the thing I desired to do the most and the thing that I felt the Lord had truly gifted me to do was to teach His word in a way that was practical and easy to understand. That’s the answer to the why do I write each morning. If I can help one person each day gain strength and understanding from God’s word than my life is truly successful.

I remember years ago I was talking with a young woman who has an amazing voice. She has a musical talent, a gift, that compels people to stop and listen. However, she was struggling. Struggling with the lack of opportunities to use her talent publicly. Her question was this. This talent I have has been given me by God, why don’t I have more occasions to use it?

I told her she has as many opportunities as she wants. She can sing while working in her yard and the neighbors may hear, she can sing in the break room at work and bless her co-workers. She can sing to her nieces and nephews. Her singing, something as simple as Jesus Loves Me, may have a life-defining impact on someone who goes on to become the next Billy Graham or the next Bill Gates.

Whatever we do, we do in the name of the Lord. Why?

To give God thanks for all He has done in our lives and to draw others to a relationship with Him.

If you’re a construction workers, a teacher, a doctor, a first responder, a student, a homemaker, a retail clerk or medical technician do all to the glory of God. Parent, child, grandparent, uncle, aunt, unemployed, fully employed, business owner or retiree do all to the glory of God.

Whatever we do, whatever we say, wherever we go we go with a mission. We use our lives to show God’s goodness to others.

Why?

“…Be an example to show the believers how they should live. Show them by what you say, by the way you live, by your love, by your faith, and by your pure life. 13 Continue to read the Scriptures to the people, encourage them, and teach them…” I Timothy 4:12-13 ERV

We each have a purpose, a God-ordained destiny. Live life for His glory!

Under Construction

Strong as a brick house! You remember how the story goes: Three little pigs, one built their house of straw, one built their house of twigs and one built their house of bricks. The big, bad wolf huffed and puffed and blew down the first two houses but when he came to the house of bricks he huffed and puffed and huffed and puffed and huffed and puffed and he couldn’t move the house.

Children’s stories have a lesson to teach if we are smart enough to look for it. Did you realize that story is an example of the believer who is standing on God’s word?

“You believers are like a building that God owns. That building was built on the foundation that the apostles and prophets prepared. Christ Jesus himself is the most important stone in that building. 21 The whole building is joined together in Christ, and he makes it grow and become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in Christ you are being built together with his other people. You are being made into a place where God lives through the Spirit.” Ephesians 2:21-22 ERV

The cornerstone or foundational stone for our lives as believers is Jesus Christ. We are in Him! And in Him, the Spirit of God dwells, so the Spirit of God dwells in us, giving us strength to stand, empowering us for victory.

“Whoever hears these teachings of mine and obeys them is like a wise man who built his house on rock. 25 It rained hard, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house. But it did not fall because it was built on rock. 26 “Whoever hears these teachings of mine and does not obey them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 It rained hard, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house. And it fell with a loud crash.” Matthew 7:24-27 ERV

Jesus is called the “Word made flesh” so when we accept Him as our Savior he becomes our chief cornerstone. He is the true foundation for our spiritual lives, we become grounded on the rock.

Jesus told Peter that when we build our lives on the knowledge that Jesus is the anointed Son of God that we are built on a rock and death will not be able to destroy us.

“Then Jesus asked them, “But who do you say I am?” 16 Simon Peter spoke up, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

17 Jesus told him: Simon, son of Jonah, you are blessed! You didn’t discover this on your own. It was shown to you by my Father in heaven. 18 So I will call you Peter, which means “a rock.” On this rock I will build my church, and death itself will not have any power over it.” Matthew 16:15-18 CEV

I used to clean a house that had a bad foundation. The soil had not been properly compacted and as the soil settled cracks began appearing in the concrete floor. Some were more obvious than others. As I cleaned I saw the cracks were in every room in the house. I can’t help but wonder about the condition of the house ten years from now. It looks good from the outside but the foundation is compromised. It’s not stable.

When we recognize our need for Christ and accept Him as our Lord and Savior we build our lives on a sure foundation, a rock. We don’t just look good but we are solid to the core.

“You also are like living stones, and God is using you to build a spiritual house. You are to serve God in this house as holy priests, offering him spiritual sacrifices that he will accept because of Jesus Christ. 6 The Scriptures say, “Look, I have chosen a cornerstone of great value, and I put that stone in Zion. Anyone who trusts in him will never be disappointed.” I Peter 2:5-6 ERV
